Green Certificate

The Green Certificate requested by students does not accredit any qualification, however, it serves as a reference about the amount of knowledge acquired in the fields of environmental economics, environmental management, and sustainability. This document can be an asset in your job search – as per the experience of our former students.

If you wish to acquire the Green Certificate, you have to comply with the following conditions:

  1. Successful completion of at least five course units (subjects) held by the Department of Environmental Economics and Sustainability (course code beginning with BMEGT42…). This may happen during the Bachelor program or the Master program, during the two programs together, or during the Erasmus program.
  2. Take care to only submit your request if you know the final results of your courses!
  3. The Green Certificate cannot be acquired by students participating in the Regional and Environmental Economics MA, the Environmental Engineering BSc, Environmental management specialization, the Environmental Engineering MSc, Environmental management specialization programs or other specializations hosted by the Department of Environmental Economics and Sustainability. For them, most of the courses required for the Green Certificate are mandatory.
  4. The Green Certificate can only be acquired by students participating in the Engineering Management BSc, environmental management module specialization if they successfully complete at least 2 courses held by our department above the mandatory ones (not counting the Project work and Thesis courses).

IMPORTANT: Applications are aggregated once per semester, at the end of the exam period (once all student grades have been submitted to the Neptun-system). This is followed by aggregated data-processing and information regarding receiving the Green Certificate.
